Our Mutual Friend Brewing (OMF) was awarded two medals during the 2022 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) craft brewing competition in Denver, CO. The Brewers Association presented the festival.

Gold Medals

The brewer won a gold medal for Trystero in the Brett Beer Category. They won a silver medal for Biere Ovale in the Mixed-Culture Brett Beer category. This was the second medal for both Trystero and Biere Ovale at GABF.

The best beers in 98 beer-style categories received medals at Bellco Theatre at the Colorado Convention Center.

Judges evaluated 9,904 entries from 2,154 breweries. Entries were from the United States, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia (Washington, D.C.).

Saison Trystero is a 6.6% ABV Brett Saison and Biere Ovale is a 4.7% ABV mixed culture Foeder-Aged Saison that earned medals in 2017 and 2021, respectively.

“Being recognized for the hard work and dedication by our brewers to achieve the highest quality in every step of the creation of our beers gives us the encouragement of knowing we are on the right path,” said OMF managing partner and co-owner Brandon Proff. “It also reminds us that it is not the end of the journey. We have much to learn and appreciate about the art of making beer, which is incredibly exciting.”

OMF has won medals in many craft beer competitions.
